Our wakeboarding session in Angeles City whetted our appetites for more thrills and adventures, so we headed next to Sandbox at Alviera, an outdoor adventure park located at an upcoming 1,100-hectare mixed-use integrated Ayala development in Porac, Pampanga. Set in a desert-like lahar landscape brought about by the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in 1991, Sandbox is a veritable playground for the entire family. For both the young and the young-at-heart.
The most uniquely thrilling attractions are the roller coaster zipline – the first of its kind in the country – which unlike standard ziplines takes you on a zigzag route, and a giant swing – the country’s tallest – that hurls passengers more than 10 meters high in the air! Sandbox also has an outdoor archery range where you can channel your inner Legolas or Katniss on your photo target of choice – take your pick between Tiyanak, Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus. Other rides are the aerial walk, free fall, rappelling, wall climbing and mini-golf. To explore the surrounding landscape, one can hire an ATV or UTV for scenic and exhilarating ride through lahar canyons, sand dunes and shallow streams.
Packages which includes four to all seven rides in the park range from PHP 400 to PHP 650 per person (One may only go once per ride). One may also pay for each ride, but availing the packages would save you money. Outdoor archery is PHP 250 for 30 minutes or PHP 400 for one hour, while ATV and UTV tours are PHP 2,500 and PHP 3,000 per hour, respectively, for one to two persons.

I heard about this but I don’t know if I am ‘game’ enough for this. After all, I am not really the active type. But my experience tells me that trying new things always makes me happy.
Masarap mag ATV sa Alviera Pampanga. 🙂
