Besides its contemporary design, posh amenities and prime location along Boracay’s famed White Beach, The District Boracay (read up on my resort experience) also boasts of its great restaurant called Star Lounge, which serves the best brunch buffet and grilled-to-order dinners on the island. The Star Lounge has two areas: the second floor with indoor dining and the third floor roof deck overlooking the beach.
The Star Lounge at the 2nd floor serves breakfast from 6:30 am to 10:30 am and the Best Brunch Buffet in the island from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm – a perfect hangover cure after heavy nights of partying! Their buffets feature a delectable spread of international and Filipino breakfast favorites with hot and cold selections and various live action stations. A la carte dishes for lunch as well as grilled-to-order dinner are also available at the Star Lounge. Breakfast is included in the room rates, but walk-in guests may also enjoy the brunch buffet at only PHP 500 per head!
On the other hand, late afternoon to evenings in the resort are best spent at the third floor Star Lounge on the glass-fenced roof deck, where cocktails can be enjoyed during sunset, followed by a Grilled-to-Order Dinner. My friend Jessica and I had a scrumptious meal of grilled prawns and Norwegian salmon with green salad, pumpkin and carrot soup, and mango float for dessert. We really enjoyed the food here, as our dining experience was enhanced by a commanding view of the palm-lined shoreline and crowds walking down the pathway of White Beach.
Our amazing dinner was finished off with the unique Meduse shisha experience exclusively available in the Philippines at the Star Lounge of The District Boracay. The premium shisha pipes are constructed from hand-made Bohemian glass and possess a rounded and organic design inspired by marine life. We enjoyed a smooth and lovely mix of coconut, guava and banana flavors. The introductory rate for the Meduse shisha is PHP 1,200 (add PHP 450 for the alcoholic versions).
