Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers: A Family-Friendly Luxury Hotel in Bandung, West Java

Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers

Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers offers a relaxing vacation that everyone in the family will enjoy.

Lush, scenic, cool-weathered – plus some surplus shopping therapy. Bandung ticks all the boxes when looking for a comfortable getaway, considering it’s only a three-hour drive south from the megapolis of Jakarta and now also serves direct international flights. So after a week-long adventure island-hopping in Makassar and Gili Islands, Lombok then hiking a blue-fire volcano in Banyuwangi, our Trip of Wonders media tour fittingly settled to a rewarding end in this relatively laid-back West Javan conurbation, where we checked in at the five-star  Sheraton Bandung Hotel and Towers.

This resort-like hotel is a perfect staycation, especially for those traveling with their family. Located a few kilometers north of the city center, there are a handful of “one-hour gems” or attractions nearby worth discovering such as Wot Batu, Bird & Bromeli Pavilion and Armor Coffee. On top of the great ambiance and five-star facilities, my hotel experience was completed with the warm, attentive and very accommodating staff.

All rooms are modern with chic design, offering an enchanting views of the garden, pool or mountains from the private balcony. The exclusive Towers rooms come with access to the Towers Lounge where you can enjoy complimentary afternoon tea and cocktail buffets at their classy dining room, which opens up to a balcony with outdoor seating and attractive views of the hillside neighborhood and distant mountains.

The hotel was designed for children to enjoy their stay as much as the grown-ups with a playroom (with both western toys and native games and instruments such as the angklung and congklak), a rabbit pen, complimentary horse rides and free ice-cream!

Meals

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Feast Restaurant, an ideal venue for family gatherings, romantic dinners or corporate meetings. The restaurant serves up an array of international and authentic local dishes in a warm and casual atmosphere overlooking the swimming pool. Signature dishes you should try include the seared sea bass or traditional Sundanese favourite nasi tutug oncom, which features grilled fermented soybean wrapped in banana leaf. Finish off your meal with a sweet note by noshing on delicious slice of baked cheese cake.
